Lara uses her diverse travel and education experience to explore the ramifications of cultural relativism and our inherent biases when confronting cultural differences and the values that support them. Lara encourages us to get in touch with our inner, curious child so that we can we deeply explore cultures--and ultimately understand them before we judge or accept them. The need for more enlightened cultural understanding is particularly imperative given the growth of cross pollination through globalisation, social media, and convenient travel.
Lara is a travel enthusiast with a passion for exploring the uniqueness of different cultures. She set out to visit 30 cities by the age of 30–she’s trekked in India, abseiled a canyon in Nepal, and caved in New Zealand along the way. She has enriched her internationalist zeal at the Cambridge Judge Business School, where she is pursuing an MBA in entrepreneurship with colleagues from 40 nationalities. Prior to moving to the UK, she headed digital product development at a media publishing house in the UAE. Lara is looking to build a career in digital business after her MBA.
