This is the story of the history of Happy Harry's and the changes that the business went through.

Alan Levin joined SoDel Concepts in July 2015. He currently serves as Senior Advisor to Delaware’s leading food service provider. This move comes after his selection by Delaware Governor Jack Markell to serve in his cabinet as the Director of the Delaware Economic Development Office, DEDO. During his 6 and half-year term, he was responsible for the business and economic strategies for the State of Delaware. His service came during the worst recession of recent history and the state’s unemployment reached a high of 8.7% by 2010. As a result of his leadership, by the end of his service in June of 2015, Delaware was leading the region in job growth and unemployment stood at 4.6%.

Before joining Governor Markell, Levin served as President and CEO of Happy Harry's, the tenth largest drugstore chain in the United States, before the Walgreen Company acquired it in July 2006. During his tenure he grew the company from 16 stores to 76 stores, 2700 employees, and revenues increased from $6
