In her talk, Shaymaa talks about surveys as a powerful tool to gather opinions about a specific cause. She's also tackling the idea of the misleading surveys by different media means. She studied the psychology of survey response as a tool to demonstrate the different ways to direct the people's opinions when answering the surveys.

Shaymaa Qadry is the founder and managing director of GISR Institution for Survey Research. Before founding GISR, she has been the deputy manager of the Public Opinion Poll Center of the Egyptian Cabinet. She holds a Masters degree in Euro-Mediterranean studies. . She is also a free lance instructor teaching project management and survey research methodologies. She has been one of the founders of an NGO called Waseela for Training and Development, an Egyptian NGO concerned with youth development.
