There is an urgent need to challenge narratives and encourage questions. This talk will explain how we develop our belief systems and why we need to encourage doubts. You will see examples of what happens when we believe things without challenging the merits or the ethical consequences of them.
Existe una urgente necesidad de retar las narrativas y fomentar las preguntas. Esta charla expondrá cómo desarrollamos nuestras creencias y por qué necesitamos alentar las dudas. Verás ejemplos de lo que pasa cuando creemos las cosas sin cuestionar los méritos o las consecuencias éticas de esas creencias.
Roberto Guzmán is a full professor at University of Puerto Rico, Aguadilla Campus. He is also a freelance writer and political commentator. He lives in Aguadilla with his son Kevin and cat Molly. His hobbies include collecting, reading and writing. He collects music, books and cinema.
