We don't all start from the same place. But we can all get to the finish line. How recognizing backgrounds and cultural challenges can get you to where you want to be.

Madison Thomas is a filmmaker from Winnipeg, Manitoba's North-End. In 2011 she became the first Aboriginal person to be accepted into Prague Film School's summer program. She partners with inner city organizations and teaches film to youth in hopes that future filmmakers among them will become motivated the same way she did.
