TEDxCorkSalon presents its second salon in the series titled 'Cork Loves Music'.
Two sessions spread across two evenings filled with live talks and performances.

Established in 1993, the Cork Singers Club has been instrumental in helping to bring around a renewed interest in the art of singing traditional Irish songs. The basic idea is that people come together to celebrate the fine art of solo singing and to ensure that the great traditional songs are passed down from generation to generation and not lost in the mists of time.

Jim Walsh, cofounder of the Cork Singers Club speaks a little about unaccompanied singing, preserving the song tradition and the Cork Singers’ Club. Jim along with Helen O Donovan and Mick Buckley perform a number of traditional songs.
