His inventions are not only state-of-the-art healthcare devices to which semiconductor technology is applied, but uniquely also building a strong team involving important stakeholders from different fields. We hope this talk makes you consider how to give great impact to society.

Toshiya Sakata / Biosensor Scientist
As an Associate Professor in Materials Engineering at the University of Tokyo, Professor Toshiya Sakata applies semiconductor transistor technology to biosensors. The extremely high sensitivity of these biosensors can detect molecules and ions within the body enabling cell function and biomolecule analyses. These practices are part of his pursuit for an easy, inexpensive and noninvasive way to monitor the body. He founded PROVIGATE CO., LTD to improve the quality of life for the 400 million diabetics living around the globe. "
