Dusty Staub's talk outlines the 7 daily acts of courage that, when performed seriously, can free people of their most troubling lacks. Dusty tells the story of how he lived these acts of courage in his relationship with his father (to whom, in youth, he had built a wall of resistance founded in fear of disappointment), and not only achieved the relationship he dreamed of, but became the man he wanted to be.

Dusty has been a pioneer in developing a holistic, wholehearted approach and methodology to leadership development. One of the critical dimensions of effectiveness in his framework has been a clear focus on the necessity of developing courage in order to be effective both personally as well as professionally. His 2nd book, “The 7 Acts of Courage: Bold Leadership for a Wholehearted Life” outline critical “acts” of courage required to live fully and powerfully. He wrote about the vital importance of the “courage to be vulnerable” more than 15 years ago. He has been helping to develop more wholehearted, courageous leaders, teams and organizations for more than three decades. Dusty is also the Certifying Authority in the United States for Sociomapping. Dusty is also the Certifying Authority in the United States for Sociomapping.
