In this talk, Sarah tells how one of her biggest mistakes shaped her attitude towards failure and questions the importance of failure and whether we can ever truly fail.
Sarah is coordinator of the STEMNET programmes in Birmingham and Solihull. Herrole involves working with schools and employers to spread the message about Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) careers.
Sarah’s love of science started young and lead onto a brief stint in biology research. After leaving the lab, she found a passion for working with young people and showing them the many opportunities that are open to them by taking STEM subjects at school. Working in STEM doesn’t necessarily mean just being a scientist in a lab – it’s so much more than that!
