Can the act of recording your life can influence your personal journey? In this talk, Sally tells us how by creating auto-biographic comics, she began to realise that by recording her life through drawing, she was making different decisions. Sally encourages us all to do this by getting the audience to create a comic strip during her talk.
Sally is a writer/artist working primarily in comics, who believes stories can change people’s lives. Her work includes coffee shop romance The Ruby Equation, with writer Sarah Kuhn for Rosy Press, 19th c adventure serial Red Jack, with writer John Dickinson for children’s comics magazine The Phoenix, and coming-of-age graphic novel Atomic Sheep for AAM Markosia. She also does on-site drawing reportage, particularly for museum sector events, leads workshops, and offers mentoring to women comic creators via the WoMentoring project.
