medicine is a profession that depends on compassion, empathy, sensitivity and good taste in order to manage and eliminate human suffering. is our culture creating a dehumanized approach to medicine by attaching more emphasis to the socioeconomic status and "prestige" of medicine? this talk will observe some challenges that face us as a community towards creating a more compassionate approach towards medicine
