Dr. Johnson on "The Latency Effect" in learning. He discusses the complexity of learning, and methods for helping people understand concepts and directions.
In addition to his professorial duties at Pittsburg State University, Dr. Johnson is a National Consultant for the Entertainment Industry as well as Apprenticeship Programs across North America. In 2000, he was named the national career and technical educator of the year by the NACTE. In 2014 he was recognized as a Distinguished Toastmaster, the top 1% of all Toastmasters around the world. He was awarded the Pittsburg Area Chamber of Commerce Volunteer of the Year for 2011 for his creation of the Crawford County Youth Leadership Program that has inspired and motivated more than 8,500 students in the last 13 years. Dr. Johnson also serves as a Kansas Leadership Champion for the Kansas Leadership Center, and is a member of the ACTE and SkillsUSA National Boards of Directors. He holds a B.S.B,A, degree, an M.S, degree in technical teacher education and an Ed.S. degree in industrial education, all from Pittsburg State University, and an Ed.D. degree from the University of Arkansas.
