Wesley Thorp offers his exploration of an incredibly unique intersection of art and technology- glitch art. Glitch art that utilizes the breaking/distortion of data, represents an emerging form of creativity that allows us to relate to digital images as data. Wesley inspires the audience to break digital things and find the art that lives inside.
Growing up with a tech-savvy family in the mountains of North Carolina, Wesley Thorp has always had a fascination with both traditionalism and technology. His artistic practice includes elements of classical painting and digital design. Wesley’s undergraduate thesis was on the relationship between viewer and art in digital space.
