In this talk Jed explores the problem of grade inflation, its history, and assumptions before suggesting that teachers worry less about awarding too many A's and more about teaching to each and every student.
Jed Silverstein holds a PhD in philosophy from Brown University. His dissertation explored the relationship between political and parental authority. He now teaches literature and philosophy at Riverdale Country School.
