Kids who live in poverty grow up with less. Less support at home, less support in school, and less hope for their future. If kids are to overcome the negative pulls that flourish in poverty, it will require more. More support from their community, more support from local businesses, and more support from civic leaders. If our community wants to address the ills that stem from poverty, we must create a benevolent culture. Poverty is one of the biggest challenges our society faces. This is a force that must be challenged. It will require people and communities everywhere to address it.
