Philbert's talk revolves around his experience with "internet trolls" or people on the internet who badger and annoy for the joy of it. Contrary to the popular reaction that is to ignore, Philbert explains that it is much better to engage with them because there is much to be learned from doing so and because that is the only way they can ever change for the better.
Philbert Dy is a vocal movie critic and the co-curator of the New Filipino Cinema program at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco. His reviews are published on one of the country’s most viewed entertainment websites, Clickthecity.com. He believes that dialogue and criticism are essential dynamics in creating masterpieces in the film industry.
