From poetic quotes to beautiful pictures or a combination of both, the call for optimism today is never-ending. In his talk, graduated high school senior Phillip Leung discusses the potential risks of such optimism and that sometimes, the most realistic view (not cynical) is the best one.
Phillip Leung is a graduated high school senior attending Oxford Academy. Despite being an idealist at heart, he thoroughly understands that sometimes, things just don’t go as planned. For him, audacious risk-taking and eternal optimism sometimes need to be balanced with logical reasoning and blunt realism.
