Vassilis Vassilikos was Born in Kavala. He is married to soprano Vasso Papantoniou and have a daughter, Eurydice. He studied at the Law School of Aristotle University, Television at Yale and the School of Radio and Television in New York. 1981-1984 Assoc. General manager of ERT, 1994-1996 & 2014-2015 councilman in the Municipality of Athens. Ambassador for our country personalities in UNESCO (1996-2004), member of the Board of the Cultural Foundation of the Athens Journalists’ Union of Writers (Chairman 2001-2005), of the Societe des Auteurs et Compositeurs Dramatiques. Award of “12 Costas Ouranis prize” in 1962 for his trilogy “To filo-To pigadi-T’aggeliasma‘ and also awarded with the international Mediterraneo Prize in 1971.
