Kalki, a boy at 15, realised that he is a girl from within. Coming out as a transgender, Kalki's life has been full of challenges and stigma. However, her determination has lead her to become an actor, an author, an artist and an activist!

Kalki Subramanian is an activist, author, actor, inspirational speaker and an entrepreneur. She is the founder of Sahodari Foundation which works for the social, economic and political empowerment of transgender persons in India.

Being a transgender person, she grew up with stigma and insult when she pursued her studies; yet, that only made her a strong person and shaped her destiny. She fiercely campaigns for social, political and economic equity and rights for transgenders and intersex people.
