When Alex de Leon moved to the Philippines, his parent’s homeland, to work for Google’s newly started division in the country, he was wondering why Filipinos equated anything with the word Philippines as something of lower value. “But it’s just Google Philippines,” was something he heard more than once. He discusses this problem in his talk and urges pinoys to never look down on their own country.
Alexander de Leon worked for Google Philippines after his stint with the company’s YouTube division at the global HQ in Mountain View, California. He graduated from Boston College with Honors.
