Online learning as a vehicle for social change, how education can change lives. David looks at how the introduction of MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses is changing the face of education and making it accessible for everyone to learn.

David is an Nursing and Midwifery Council Registered Nurse with a background in adult acute care. He currently leads the BSc (Hons) Nursing Studies, MSc Integrative Health and Social Care and UAD Dementia Care courses at the University of Derby Online Learning. During 2015, David developed and taught a massive open online course on dementia entitled ‘Bridging the Dementia Divide’ and recently spoke about his experiences at the Palace of Westminster and in New York City. David is passionate about online learning as a vehicle for social change.
