. I am a refugee. My identity, my life, my entire existence has been marked with this word. I never felt stronger, intense belonging to any other group than this. I would like to present my people. A brief biography D M Jurisic was born on 29. September 1975. in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia – a country that doesn’t exist anymore. Spending most of her early years with in limits of refugee status, she managed to obtain a University degree in Art history, and later in photography. Every time she felt that prejudices and discrimination are getting in the way of her carrier or professional development, she went back to University, for another degree, so now she has several diplomas in high education and she is considering another one.
