We will take a step back and apply new perspectives to big picture issues. Why, as a global society, should we continue to invest in overseas development? How can we work across borders and political boundaries to bring about positive change? And what returns can we expect on our investments? A panel of Harvard faculty members shares their ideas and insights. The panel includes Julio Frenk, Dean of the Faculty at Harvard School of Public Health; Michael Chu, Senior Lecturer of Business Administration at Harvard Business School, and Jennifer Leaning, Professor of the Practice of Health and Human Rights at Harvard School of Public Health. The panel is moderated by Meghna Chakrabarti, co-host of Radio Boston. In thespirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations).
