Øyvind Vada is an entrepreneur, social scientist and the founder of Memetor. Memetor turns strategy into action releasing individual and collective potential. The company has offices in Brussels, Oslo and Singapore. The concept is delivered all around the world, from Brussels, Geneva, Paris, Stockholm, Oslo and London to Mumbai, Delhi, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Kigali, Cape Town and Singapore. Øyvind has led and transformed a number of corporations in various industries. He has been a board member of The Norwegian Investor Forum and The European Movement. He holds a cand.polit degree from the University of Oslo, specialising in organizational theory, economics and communication. He is currently completing his PhD at the University of Brussels (VUB). Øyvind trained as a pilot in South Carolina, and was an officer in the Norwegian Navy. He is a member of the Brussels-based research group ECCO and is co-founder of European Institute of Complexity Studies (EURICS), which focuses on research into Complexity, Evolution Theory and Cognition. In thespirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
