Sara Shulman is a second year Classicist at UCL and Founder and Editor of Comedy Blogedy-- a website that features interviews, reviews and all sorts of news about comedy. She is also Head of Comedy at UCLU Rare FM. Sara has also been gigging as a stand-up since December 2011. She has been producing comedy shows and interviewing comedians and members of the comedy industry for her comedy podcast 'Humour Me', which is also broadcast on UCLU's Rare FM. Talk: The power of funny Stand-up, sketch, musical comedy, visual comedy, satire, puns and wordplay... How many different ways are there to make us laugh? Where do we go and what do we do to find the "funny"? Comedy is everywhere -- television, radio, festivals and, of course, comedy clubs are all saturated with people wanting to laugh and people wanting to make us laugh. Yet, how often do we consciously think about the power behind the words that make us smile, giggle or even cry with laughter?
