Tshidiso was born in Katlehong, South Africa where he spent his childhood till the age of 9. Since then he has not spent more than 2 years in one place. Having been constantly uprooted meant also changing schools. He attended 7 in total and almost always had to learn a new language. Tshidiso completed school in 2008. In his final year of school he was introduced to a new language of storytelling through film through Jenny Buccos, the director and founder of an international educational webseries, Project Explorer. After years of keeping in contact he was given the opportunity of a lifetime as an apprentice with Project Explorer's Central America Series in 2011. AboutTEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
