High school principal Jeremy Goins recounts a fateful encounter with a University of Southern California football coach and elaborates as to how this coach's positive outlook and welcoming enthusiasm instilled passion among himself and his peers. Goins delves further into the intricacies of enthusiasm and "positive stress" as he details both the short-term physiological processes and the long-term goal oriented effects. As an educator, administrator, and public figure in students' lives, Goins draws upon research in addition to prior experience to convey to his audience what goes on in our bodies as we shift to a more positive mindset.

Jeremy Goins is a man whose passion for education is heavily rooted with his love for supporting students. Throughout his career, Goins has worked actively and tirelessly to engage with his community and student body in helping them on the path to higher education.
