When she was 21 years old Tania Gilinski gave a ride to Steve Jobs in the Apple campus without knowing who he was, a random fact that changed the course of her professional life. She attributes her journey as an entrepreneur to the power of determination even in the face of failure. Following her passion for children entertainment and education, she reinvented herself, as a 21st-century geek, and her character, Juana la Iguana, in order to embrace a new generation of kids.
Originally from Colombia, is an entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience in television, publishing, marketing, and technology. A graduate of Wellesley College and Stanford University, Tania led the creation, production, and marketing of a live action children's television program entitled "The Adventures of Juana la Iguana," which aired in 14 countries including the U.S and Mexico. After a 15-year hiatus, Tania relaunched Juana la Iguana in the digital world through educational apps in both iOS and Android, and a YouTube Channel animated Spanish songs. The app "Juana la Iguana en la Granja" is a 2016 Parent's Choice Recommended App and Juana la Iguana was picked as the winner of People's Pick Vote in the Miami Herald business Challenge and third Place winner in the Challenge community track. It also won the First Place of Fan's Vote in the Hispanicize Latin Pitch and Third Place winner in the overall competition.
