A postdoctoral researcher at the Ritter Astrophysical Research Center at the University of Toledo, Dr. Adam Schneider discusses his work on the Gemini Planet Imager. Hear about the search for planets beyond our solar system as well as the future of exoplanet science.
Adam Schneider is a postdoctoral research associate at the Ritter Astrophysical Research Center at the University of Toledo. Adam received his Ph. D. in astronomy from the University of Georgia in 2013, where his work focused on preparations for the Gemini Planet Imager Exoplanet Survey (GPIES), a survey devoted to directly imaging young planets around nearby stars. His current research continues to investigate how planetary systems form and evolve, with the hope of better understanding the diversity of exoplanetary systems.
