We live in a culture that values busyness. Many of us feel as though we must always being engaged in a certain activity or moving from one place to another. Perhaps there is value to be found in simply slowing down.
Will Cagle, senior at Maumee Valley Country Day School, is a voracious reader of fiction and hopes to one day be a voracious producer of the same. He is especially fond of such masters of the craft as Gabriel García Márquez, Kurt Vonnegut, Charles Dickens, J.R.R. Tolkien, and Neil Gaiman. He hopes to attend college next year and work toward a degree in Creative Writing, and continually pursue further knowledge of the art of fiction writing.
