Tracing his roots, sociologist Andrew Evangelista examines facets of his life from childhood that has affected him as an individual. As he shares his “birthday reflections”, Sir Andrew talks about his experience growing up in the “fringes of the margins”. He imparts how he was able to overcome trials through two things: debate and social sciences.
Mr. John Andrew Evangelista is an instructor of sociology in the University of the Philippines. He is also a regular contributor of articles and spearheads talks that focus on gender. Currently, he is working on his thesis that centers on the history of LGBT activism.
