Nathan talks about his own experience as a trans person in the UK. Giving an account of some of the big issues which many trans people struggle with on a regular basis, and how we might go about fixing a flawed system.
Nathan is a second year psychology undergraduate who identifies as transgender, and has been transitioning from female- to-male for the past 4 years. He has a keen interest in LGBT activism and paired with his own experiences, aims to educate and speak out about what it’s like for the trans community here in the UK. Working mostly in his home county of Lancashire he has given advice and presentations on trans issues to police cadets, teachers and provided input for the toolkit given to schools on how to deal with pupils who come out as trans.
