To be a lawyer takes many qualities, but technological proficiency isn’t one of them – yet. As a self-taught programmer and lawyer, Ruairidh Wynne-McHardy is focused on bringing innovation to the legal sector. He knows first-hand that lawyers work to a frantic pace, yet they don’t take advantage of the power of technology to help them with their work. Many don’t even know what is available. In his talk, Ruairidh explores how automation and artificial intelligence threaten to take the jobs of lawyers, just as they have many other professions.
Ruairidh Wynne-McHardy is a trained lawyer, legal technologist and startup founder. He has lived in three countries, speaks two languages and has one goal – to change the face of the legal profession by encouraging the use of legal technology.
