Ever want to climb Mount Everest or simply cook a delicious, homemade meal? Well, here's how you can.
Tanisha Singh loves talking. As a preschooler, she was always the first to raise her hand during show and tell. At her sixth grade graduation, the one thing Tanisha looked forward to was giving the valedictorian speech for her class. When she was introduced to debate in junior high, she finally found something that would stick with her forever. She has been an active member in the debate community every since. Tanisha has had the honor to participate at the state level and win various awards as a debater, but she participates for more than the competitiveness; she participates because she can speak. In her opinion, talking is one of the best ways that humans can share their thoughts, ideas, and experiences. So when she heard that Irvington was hosting its own Ted Talk, she had to seize the opportunity. Taking a chance at doing something you really want to is an important part of life, especially if it’s something you are passionate about.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
