What happens when you join the police service for a bet and then discover that policing does seem to be done the way it should be? You challenge existing procedure, learn from crime science, and experiment with intelligence led and innovative new ideas. Stevyn Colgan was part of the Metropolitan Police’s groundbreaking Problem Solving Unit that did exactly that. Much of what they learned is now built into mainstream policing.
