Nicole's talk revolves around her experiences with social media and social media shaming. It points out that discussions on issues, even the most useless ones, are essential because they help form both one's own and a communal identity.

Nicole Tomas is a Political Science student at the University of the Philippines. She is also a member of the UP Debate Society, and has earned numerous accolades in various local and international debate tournaments. Nicole values both freedom of speech and expression, which has only deepened her love for debate. She enjoys writing poetry and science, having won awards in the past for the latter.
