How can be sure what we see is true? As power of the media got transferred from a handful of media houses to ordinary people with cellphone cameras, it doesn't stop pictures and videos that we see from being more truthful. In his talk, Nawapol demonstrates different ways pictures and videos can be distorted by the narratives, and reminds us how we need to be increasingly suspicious of the so-called truth that we see each day even more.
Started off as an intern at GTH, an enthusiastic film production house based in Thailand, Nawapol "Ter" Thamrongrattanarit became a screenwriter, a movie editor, and a director of various independent and high-budget feature films. The movies he directed became blockbusters and received many international and national awards.
